An important day for the Blogo team. An awesome day for Blogger and WordPress users. I’m talking about our version 2.2, launched today!
After months of hard work, Blogo 2.2 is finally available and ready to be released to the world. The Blogger Edition version brings major new features and many improvements.
To give you an idea, this release is so big that our blog post will have to be divided into 3 parts, so we can explain the most important features of the update.
Enough said. Let’s jump to the good stuff!!
I’m super excited to finally be able to invite all Blogger users to try out Blogo!
I know that adding support to a new platform seems simple, but it’s not. Our main goal is to make sure we’re bringing a full integration to that blogging platform. We’ve built it from the ground up and fully integrated Blogo with Blogger. That’s why it took us a little longer, but it’s been worth the wait.
I’m more than happy with what we’ve got. With the help of AMAZING beta testers and thorough teamwork, we’ve managed to build a solid integration that will allow all Blogger users to blog faster and better using Blogo.
There’s no secret–all you gotta do is download Blogo and connect your Blogger blog once you open the app. Can’t get any easier than that, huh?
Custom Fields: Good News for WordPress users!
Okay, let’s talk about WordPress.
You can now store, display and create any sort of data on your WordPress blog using Custom Fields in Blogo. This new feature enables you to create additional bits of information like your mood, what you’re currently listening to, the weather, and more. All of that can be used within your posts, pages, or custom post types.
There’s a whole universe to explore using Custom Fields. If you haven’t tried it yet, I strongly suggest you do! Custom Fields offer a powerful ability to make your writing life a lot easier and increase your blogging performance.
Here’s how it works:
- Set up Custom Fields in Preferences.
- Once you’ve done that, the Custom Fields icon will show up at the bottom of Blogo.
- That’s it! Now you can add, remove and edit any information in the Custom Fields panel with just a few clicks.
Curious to see how it works on Blogo? The following images will show you in practice how easy it is!

Speaking of exploring the new version… It’s webinar time!
We will be hosting a Webinar at the end of next week with Tips & Tricks for getting the most out of Blogo 2.2, and would love to see you there!
